The annual plan of Vandanmedu Grama Panchayat gives priority to sectors such as agriculture, health, social welfare, infrastructure development, Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) welfare, and women empowerment. The projects are designed with the objective of ensuring the overall development and welfare of the people in the panchayat.

Key Sectors

• Agriculture and Animal Husbandry
  • Financial assistance for organic fertilizer subsidy, paddy cultivation, tuber crop cultivation, and integrated farming has been included.
  • Projects such as cattle rearing, veterinary hospital development, canine vaccination, and poultry farming are being implemented.
• Health and Social Security
  • Palliative care activities, ayurveda hospital development, and health awareness/vigilance programs are included.
  • Priority has been given to nutrition programs for Anganwadis and welfare schemes for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
• Women and Child Welfare
  • Skill development training, women's fitness clubs, and nutrition programs have been introduced for women.
  • The plan also includes providing equipment, furniture, and infrastructure development for Anganwadis.
• Infrastructure Development
  • Infrastructure development activities such as road concreting, tarring, drainage, and renovation of the Panchayat office are being implemented across various wards.
  • A significant amount has been allocated for the Jal Jeevan Mission project.
• Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe Welfare
  • Study materials for SC students, housing schemes, and drinking water projects have been included.
  • Projects to ensure drinking water, nutrition, and improvement of living standards are being implemented for the ST communities.
